Recommended Reading Assignments 1999 Fall Semester - [ 2000-1 ] Section 21 - L. Cripps page update: 3 September 1999 The reading assignments are essential for the student to develop the necessary "frame of reference" or understanding to undertake the design and drafting assignments. Much of the required informative background material for the design & drawing problems will be in the reading assignments, a significant portion of which will not be duplicated by course lecture presentations. The reading from the required texts is listed, as well as sections from pertinent publications that are available in the campus library. Reading Assignment Schedule Initial Course Period Design & Design Development Period Construction Document Period Course Publications & Handouts The reading list will contain both "reading" and "reference" sections. The reading section is material that is required by every student. The reference sections are material that is directly related to the design & drawing problems. As each student's design solution can differ from others, this list will be comprehensive in scope; the student should choose from it what pertains to their needs.
